| Q. |
Is Baby BC a private company or a nursing agency recruiting nurses? |

| Q. |
I am very interested in Baby BC, what do I do next? |
| A. |
Once our Baby BC Recruitment Specialist receives your resume through our dedicated email address, nursing@perinatalcareersbc.ca, you will be sent further program information and a clinical skills checklist for you to complete. We will also contact you to book a prescreen conversation that will enable us to understand a little bit about your relocation needs, preferred clinical environment and desired location throughout the province. This is also your opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the living and working experience in BC. Please allow for 45 minutes to 1 hour for this prescreen/introductory conversation |
|
| Q. |
What happens after I have been prescreened by a Baby BC Recruitment Specialist? |
| A. |
Your application and all supporting documents will be reviewed by the Baby BC central referral team. Based on your preferred clinical environment and desired living location within BC, a decision will be made to refer your application to the most appropriate Health Authority for consideration. At this point you will be notified by a Baby BC Recruitment Specialist of the referral and can expect a representative from the individual Health Authority to contact you. |
|
| Q. |
Can I change my mind about the area of the province that I originally chose to live and work? |
| A. |
Yes – Please ensure that you communicate this to the representative at the Health Authority and to the Central Baby BC Recruitment Specialist. |
|
| Q. |
How long does the whole recruitment process take? |
| A. |
Each candidate is uniquely different and for this reason the amount of time required varies. Local, National and International applicants require different levels of support. During your prescreen conversation please ensure that a Baby BC Recruitment Specialist is able provide you with an appropriate timeframe. |
|
| Q. |
What level of support are you able to provide employment-seeking spouses that relocate with newly hired nurses to BC? |
| A. |
Health Authorities are happy to provide tips, networking opportunities, or popular employment websites to candidates and their spouses. Additionally, spouses working in healthcare and healthcare related fields may wish to forward their resumes for consideration of opportunities within the Health Authority. |
